On Sunday the 27th of July we have Raphaella Withlove staying with us. Our plan is to create some new images for our personal portfolio’s in a couple of locations and we have decided to offer 2 photographers the unique opportunity to share the day with us. You will be able to see how we create our signature images and you will also work one2one with Raphaella throughout the day which will last from 11.00am until around 4.00pm. As this is not strictly a workshop it will be a pretty casual day and lunch will simply be sandwiches and juice. We are offering this @ £275.00 pp (normally £395) inclusive. We have decided to increase the delegate numbers for the above workshop on Sunday the 17th of August. Originally we were working with 6 delegates and the one model, Raphaella Withlove. However as this is a unique venue and we have arranged exclusive use for the day we are increasing delegate numbers to 10 however we are now bringing 2 models, Rachel Summers and Raphaella W, so the ratio will now be better at 1-5 and delegates will work with both models during the day. I was delighted to be given the opportunity to test a pre production model of the new Fuji 56mm lens on the X Pro-1 body. We had International Playboy model Zoi fly over from the Netherlands to shoot with us in a friends castle located on the east coast of Scotland. It was a pretty chilly day so Zoi was well wrapped up prior to the shoot but once in front of the camera she performed like the star she is. All of the images shot on the day with the X Pro-1 the lens was mostly wide open @ 1.2 This is a superb combination of camera and lens for any portrait photographer.
Faye and I had a wonderful time at Chateau St Just, just north of Paris, with Kim Weston as the 3rd speaker. Wonderfully organised by Kitty Cohan and Gina Weston. We worked with 3 wonderful models, Charline from Paris, Riona from Belguim and Carla from the UK and all 3 were a delight to work with. Delegates from UK, Spain and the USA. The Chateau director hopes to host an exhibition of the work produced over the 2 days in the spring of next year so another very welcome return trip to France. Over the next weeks we will upload some of the images Faye and I made while demonstrating how we work.
