‘Roller Derby Girl’
This image was made after we had finished our Art Nude workshop last Sunday. I had spotted the roller, which weighed a ton, under some trees. A bit of brute force and I managed to move it into space. Then all I had to do was persuade Carla and Faye, who thought we were finished for the day, to make one final image. Faye restyled Carla’s hair added some accessories, Carla’s own sunglasses and my vision was complete. Thank you to both for humoring me after a long and very tiring day.
Our next and final UK Art Nude workshop for 2013 will be back at Pipewell Hall on Sunday the 27th of October. 10.00am – 5.00pm – 5 delegates only. £395.00 inclusive. Carla Monaco will be our model. The following day we will be hosting a CONTEMPORARY BOUDOIR workshop at the same venue again with Carla. 10% discount is booking both days.
YERBURY NUDES
Over the many years we have been photographing nudes we have lost count of the number of time we have been asked ‘do you have or when are you doing your book’? We have had discussions with a number of publishers but have always declined as we felt the production values were not to the standard we would like for our work. Recently a dear friend suggested that we take control of our own destiny and publish our own work but make use of Kickstarter to raise the funds required for such an ambitious venture.
We have approached the renowned photographer and publisher Eddie Ephraums with an outline of what we would like to achieve. The book will be produced as a Limited Edition of 750 copies. 300×320 portrait format printed in Italy in duotone on 150 gsm paper. There will be 2 volumes each with 48 unique images, one of my work and one of Faye’s. Presented in hardback with real cloth covers and foil blocking and both volumes presented in a bespoke real cloth slipcase with a duotone image in the embossed area. The price of the book will be around £45
In order to raise the funds we will be offering a number of unique opportunities to invest through Kickstarter. These will range from a signed copy of the book, a signed copy with a limited edition print, a copy with a signed platinum/palladium print, a signed copy and a place on a workshop and a one to one day with us etc. These offers will be refined and others will be included so that there will be something for everybody who is interested in owning a once in a lifetime collection of images made over the past 30 years of the Nude by Faye and myself.
The specification of this book are the highest possible and will make a fine addition to any book collection. We will announce when the project goes live on Kickstarter. If interested message us.

The Fine Art Nude
This is one of my favourites from our recent workshop at Pipewell hall. The subject is Raphaella who is one of the finest Art Nude models currently working in the UK.
We have another art nude workshop coming up at the same venue, Pipewell Hall, where we have exclusive use of the house and grounds. Art Nude workshop @ Pipewell Hall
Possibly our last workshop at Pipewell last weekend as Trudi and Sean are in the process of selling and moving to something a bit larger. Once again we were delighted to have Raphaella and Carla as our 2 models for our 8 delegates so a prefect model to photographer ratio. Despite the forecast the weather once again played ball and any showers occurred when we were on a break or at lunch. Both of our models worked to an exceptionally high level and our delegates were delighted with the images they made during the day. We will post more in the near future but following our holiday in Devon followed by 2 workshops we have a lot of catching up to do. We are delighted that we have a delegate flying over from Boston next weekend for a one2one with is here at Claremont and then we travel south once again for a seminar on the 10th followed by an Art Nude workshop back here on the 14th. We are hopeful that we can squeeze a couple more art nude workshop during August and September and we may have a wonderful new venue to work in in North Wales but more on that when we get a positive answer. The Dark House
This image was made on a recent workshop @ Pipewell Hall. Although we have used the wood’s before I have never come across this structure and I just loved its dark menacing feel. Raphaella was very brave to fight her way through a bank of nettles but managed to give me the look of fear and foreboding I had asked of her.

N – PHOTO magazine
Delighted to see our feature in the latest issue of N-Photo magazine which is just out. We spent a very creative day with Carla Monaco, our model, Chris the editor of N-Photo and Andrew their lucky reader who won the place working with us for the day. Fortunately the day was fine, though a touch bright but we found plenty of areas to work in and this image is Faye’s from one of the images we set up for Andrew to watch how we work on location with an art nude model. We hope to have a couple of new workshop dates, one in August and the other in September, available soon. Once again these will be limited to only 4 delegates.
