An image made by Faye of Raphaella crouched in the doorway of Pipewell Hall.
As with all of our nude images this was daylight only.
Another of favourite my images of Raphaella from Sunday @ Pipewell Hall. I think I have 3 images that I will use to make platinum/palladium prints from, this one, yesterdays image and perhaps the best I have yet to post! As I know many of you are aware I have still got 26 days of my sentence to carry out so any messages please leave on this site. It looks like our trip to Ireland in August is becoming more and more likely so if you are interested please drop either Faye or myself an email or use the contact page on this site. We have a new date for another art nude workshop on the 1st of September, details on the workshop calendar page.
We hosted a superb Art Nude workshop at one of our favourite UK venues, Pipewell Hall in Northamptonshire. Our models for the day were two of the UK’s finest models, Raphaella and Carla both a delight to work with and so hardworking. We had eight delegates on the day, one who traveled all the way from Malmo, Sweden but did not allow for train cancellations on a Sunday so unfortunately missed the first hour of the day however Faye stayed behind with Dimo’s to allow him to catch up while I took the main group outside to do some exterior images at the doorway. Weather wise the day was what we had hoped for, dry, warm and sunny with cloud cover at times which we appreciated. Pipewell had some fabulous locations both internally and in the surrounding grounds. Mid morning we split into 2 groups one staying inside with Faye and Carla while the others came with me and Raphaella out into the woods. Lunch time we swapped over groups so everybody had the opportunity of working with both models during the course of the workshop. Faye will be posting an image of the ‘group’ shot on Facebook (remember I am banned for another 26 days!) This is one of my images with Raphaella I saw this location when we started the day however knowing that Raphaella would get her body marked in amongst the branches decided to leave this to the very last session of the day. Because of her bravery and daring she did suffer some scratches to her body. Hair, as always by Faye who will be posting one of her images later today.
We are looking at hosting an Art Nude workshop in Ireland this August. If you are interested then please use the contact form to receive more information, dates etc.
So yet another FB ban this time for the image which you see below except on the FB one I had ‘blocked out’ the offending nipples which FB seem to think none of us have! For the next 29 days or so Faye will keep you posted of events, dates and new workshops etc. Thank you to all who have posted on Faye’s page regarding this your thoughts and kind words are very much appreciated.
Looks like we will be hosting our first Fine Art Nude workshops in Canada early May of next year.
This image of Raphaella by Faye was made last summer and is our first large Platinum/Palladium print. We also show an image of the original digital negative that was used to make this image which is 14″ x 20″. The finished image has been archivally mounted, matted and presented in a hand stained, waxed frame.
This is one of a Limited Edition of 10. Signed, dated and stamped with the studio logo. Platinum/Palladium printing involves hand-coating fine cotton-rag papers with an emulsion containing platinum and/or palladium metals. These prints are the most archival form of photographs ever made. Platinum/palladium prints are generally characterised by a slightly warm tone and a very long tonal range unmatched by any other medium and which perfectly matches the vision we have for our images. With grateful thanks to Carl for his help and guidance.
A couple of weeks ago while hosting another workshop Faye and I found these fantastic doors at Freemasons Hall in Edinburgh’ George Street and thought that we should use them one day for one of our Fine Art Nudes. We had Carla Monaco visit us on Monday for a session on Tuesday for N-Photo magazine and so on the evening of bank holiday Monday we drove into Edinburgh with Carla. Faye had already styled Carla’s hair before we left Claremont so it was simply going to be a matter of picking our moment! Though chilly it was a lovely evening with little wind however George Street was not as quiet as we had anticipated. Plenty of tourists and tour buses! Not to be deterred we parked outside the building and waited for the ‘coast’ to clear which it did but only for very brief periods and that was only on our side of the street as we tended to forget that pedestrians also walked on the other side of George St! After a few abortive starts due to passing buses and pedestrians we eventually managed to do two very short sessions, and I do mean short. Carla did mention afterwards about a bus that passed on the opposite side but she was to busy concentrating that she did not see if anybody spotted her and even if they did who would ever believe somebody who claimed to have seen a nude model posing in one of Edinburgh busiest streets on a Monday evening! Faye of course was close at hand with a robe just in case! I love how Faye has processed this image in our signature style.
